These are wondrous baskets
Of habitats
Engineered
By wealthy industrial Titans.
Yet Africa, Asia, Latin America
Are all sorely plagued by poverty.
It is a gigantic marshland of death
In the poorer worlds!
O! Duty!
You are the best among fellows.
You are the Bridge that fills
The gap betwixt the wealthy
And the paupers.
Duty you ought to be everyone’s baggage of plenty.
Though your weight
To each of your bearers
Is heavier than
Cheop’s pyramid.
Fly! Make haste
Upon the call of Duty!
