Erle Frayne Argonza y Delago
I’ve been nestled in the branches
Of the pliant Bamboo.
I shall fly soon
To nestle upon
Redwoods
Cedars
Pines
Sequoias
Mapples
Cherries
African bushes.
Even as
My world view
Never loses touch
Of my other nest—
The Coconut that embellishes verdance
Upon the benign Tropics
Never thus fledgeling
In its noble task to nourish
As it was suckled
By Mother Earth.
