CAFÉ COUNTRY

Erle Frayne D. Argonza

Walking leisurely along Grove avenue
Past the noble gates of Plato
O’ my new academic den

I breezed by coffee shops
To my left and to my right
I seem to be transported
To famed Bohemia of halcyon days
There to sip coffee and chat
With minds of bedazzling brilliance
Shaped thoughts that changed
Old worlds broken down by innovations

In like vein this Little Bohemia
Offers thee myriads
Of cafes and novelty shops
Of bars and pastry foundries
They can make one stay here
Glued like thick gel leaving marks
Of genius and galores of ideas
